QC Fitness Lab - Shoals Spotlight Series
As a fitness community, we will always support those who promote health and wellness throughout the Shoals. Allow us to introduce you to QC Fitness Lab, located right here in Muscle Shoals! QC Fitness Lab was opened by locals Kevin Hutcheson and Brad Stidham in June 2023.
The unique gym provides a variety of group fitness classes such as HIIT, Functional Fitness, and Barbell Club. They also offer competition training, personal training, and nutrition coaching.
QC Fitness Lab strives to elevate the lives of those living in the Shoals both inside and outside of their gym. Much like One Ride, their mission is to empower individuals to achieve their fitness goals and improve their overall health and well-being. They aim to provide a supportive and inclusive community that values hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Through functional movements, high-intensity workouts, and nutritional guidance, they challenge their members to reach their full potential.
When asked ‘What is something about yourself or your business that you would like the community to know?’, Brad said “Kevin and I recognized a large gap in the Shoals area when it comes to fitness. There are several, as I like to call it, "Do it Yourself" gyms where you show up, workout, and the only thing that knows your name is the computer you scanned into at the front desk. There are TONS of people who simply need a little guidance but are too afraid to ask or don't know where to start. Sadly, we all fear being judged. What I've learned is that people simply want to feel Heard, Seen, and Loved.
I challenge my staff every day to think of how we can further breakdown walls and remove obstacles for people who want to start their fitness journey. We firmly believe that the hardest thing a member should have to do is "show up". We will take care of the rest. That doesn't mean we won't make you sweat while you’re here though :)
What can you expect at QC? We are multi-disciplined. We offer new and varied workouts that are unique each day. We call it "Functional Fitness". These types of exercises directly translate to movements an average person would make in their daily lives. From weightlifting and gymnastics to cardio and plyometrics, we strive for BALANCE. These workouts will help you build the strength necessary to tackle the difficulties of everyday life.”
