Meet Emilee.
Emilee has lived in the Shoals her whole life! After graduating from Muscle Shoals High School in 2022, she began Radiology school at NWSCC, and will graduate as a Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech) in May of 2025!
Emilee has always loved being involved with fitness, but lost touch with it for a few years during high school. When she found One Ride Cycle, she instantly fell back in love with working out. The intensity she found inside that dark room fueled her fire. Not only spin, but the strength classes also. One thing about Emilee, she LOVES feeling strong.
Since starting at One Ride, Emilee has felt passionate about the effects the dark room in particular has had on her mental and physical health. She’ll be the first to tell you how much she loves to be in a spin class and how much she needs it for her mental health. Her main goal is to help other people overcome the darkness that creeps in on all of us from time to time. She’ll walk over the mountain tops with you, and hold your hand and pull you out of the valleys.
In Emilee’s class, you will hear any genre of music. She loves everything from country to the fun remixes of songs that make you want to dance! Her main goal is to help you overcome your own mind and to do it all with you so you’re never alone!
Get to Know Emilee
Why do you love the Shoals?
The Shoals is home! I’ve lived here my whole live and a lot of my family and all my friends are here! I graduated from Muscle Shoals in 2022 and I’m in school at NWSCC, so I know nothing but the Shoals!
What do you love most about riding?
Easy- the mind and body connection. Most people don’t realize that your mental state can 100% influence your physical state, so safely pushing my mental and physical limits at the same time gives me the drive to keep going! I love being able to put my whole day underneath my feet and either relish in the good days I’ve had and have fun, or stomp all over any negative or issues I’ve had on my mind!
When you aren’t teaching where can we find you?
Since I’m in school until May, you can probably find me at my clinical site! I also work at Helen Keller part time, so you can also find me in the Radiology department taking xrays of someone’s broken bone! And if I’m not there, I’m probably taking a nap :)
